This is a very nice timer at a great price. 3.5 out of 5.
There are a couple of downsides, but not enough to keep you from buying this. The face of the timer can be tough for people to see at an angle depending on where they are seated at your poker table, and the battery life is not as long as I would have expected for something as simple as a countdown timer. Another downside is if you are setting the time, and accidentally click over by one second or minute, you have to scroll through the entire set of numbers to get back to where you want to be. Seeing the alternatives out there though, I would rather spend $15 for this opposed to $40 on something else, as this does do the job well. [yahooquestion]poker+accessories[/yahooquestion]
Poker players will travel to the ends of the Earth to find a great game, and sometimes they will literally do just that - shipping off to far-off locales where the poker chips are real clay and the stakes are always high. To help you plan your next "poker vacation" we've compiled a list of some of the finest poker cities in the world - each one chosen because of the available action there - and a commitment to the greatest card game in the known universe.
The Top Cities for Poker Players
1. Las Vegas, Nevada. No surprises here. Las Vegas is, and likely always will sit atop the poker stratosphere. When you're home to the best players in the world, the best shopping for poker accessories, countless poker rooms that line the Las Vegas Strip...AND host the annual World Series of Poker you don't have to worry about relinquishing your number one spot for quite some time.
2. Atlantic City, New Jersey. A short drive from New York City, Atlantic City is home to some of the largest Casinos in the world. With poker accessories names like Trump and Harrah's rising above the skyline, it's easy to see why the area draws millions of gamblers each year (despite the rundown nature of the city itself). The online poker boom inspired many of these casinos to build massive Texas Hold 'Em rooms - which even in tough economic times continue to be filled by East Coasters looking for some real action.
3. Los Angeles, California. Only a hop skip and jump from the glitter of Hollywood exists a series of the most well-respected poker rooms in the United States. That's right, poker has come to Los Angeles, and thanks to Larry Flint's Hustler Casino, The Hollywood Park Poker Rooms and the Commerce Casino (and several more) serious players will never fall short of places to play after they've hit the beach.
4. New York, New York. You won't find many glittering casinos and poker rooms in the Big Apple, however if it is rough-and-tumble back room games you're looking for, you have come to the right place. The most populated city in the world is also home to more poker games being held in the back of bodegas, record stores and bars than anywhere else in America. It is a throwback to the outlaw days of poker - and despite the Internet, Atlantic City and discount flights to Las Vegas, it has never quite left.
5. Dublin, Ireland. Dublin was recently named the top poker city in Europe by a panel of card-playing experts. In addition to being home to the Irish Open, one of the largest and most well-respected poker tournaments in Europe, it also has a rich community of poker players living there. These poker-playing families have passed the game on from generation to generation - ensuring that the game will continue to flourish here for years to come.
6. London, England. The United Kingdom takes a more laid-back approach to gambling than other countries, and with that permissiveness has come some of the finest luxury poker rooms in the world. London is a place to play high-stakes poker - without having to worry about the authorities knocking your door down.

very nice product. only bad thing is no volume control and no on/off switch. A bit expensive but amazon has it a best cost. All in all very satisfied with the product.
We got this for my husband. He loves it, all his poker buddies love it. They all want one. We saw it on a few other websites, Amazon had the best deal. Great purchase!!!
I have tried a few poker clocks and this one is, by far, the best! It easy easy to use and customize. This is the 2nd one I bought!
This is a must for any home where Texas Hold’em is played. Takes the load off trying to keep track of the time!
Gives you exactly what you need to play poker. Keeps the game going, set it and forget it!
This is a great set of chips for the price. There are a TON of chips, enough for a 8 or 10 person tourney. The extras are great too! A full set of blind buttons, plus dealer button and cut cards. The case holds all the chips nicely, but when full it’s very heavy. The handle is sturdy enough, but I wouldn’t carry the case around by the handle due to the weight. Overall a great set at a great price. Highly recommended for someone looking for a starter set or to bulk-up on an existing set.
The chips in this set is exactly what I was looking for. The case they are carried in is a treat in itself. Poker lovers should have this set, Simple as that!!!
The actual chips look and feel great. They have a nice weight to them. Unfortunately, I am pretty unhappy with the case and the bag that comes with it. The lining of the case began coming off shortly after I bought it, and it has had trouble snapping close all the way. Also, the handle on the bag is really flimsy and feels like it may rip off if you’re not super careful carrying it around.
Thanks for supporting us military overseas…I couldnt beleive they would ship to us. The chips are really nice, heavy and authentic. The case holds them pretty well. I can barely carry the case and chips around. The extra’s are a pluss also. Very Nice
I have read the other reviews before purchasing this product and I was a little nervous because there was a couple no so good reviews. However, once I received the chip set, my wife and I was very pleased. We have play poker in a few casinos and the chips in this set was very close to tournament style casino chips. These chips make for a wonderful chipset for a home game because you get the card protectors and all the buttons for your blinds. I thought it was an excellent purchase.
Gift for son in law was a huge hit. A sweet deal for a great amount of chips, perfect weight and look to them. The added bonus of the markers was more than expected.
I ordered the 1000 piece set on a Sunday and received it on Thursday (just in time for our Friday game). It was well packed and nothing was damaged in shipping. The case looked good and all of the chips were intact and everything promised in the add was included in the case. I hate it when something I ordered is missing a piece.
The chips themselves look and sound great. No noticeable flaws and they stack great. I like that they have the denominations on them. You don’t have to think about how many of one color equals another when betting. I also would prefer that they replaced the $1 chips with $10 but thats about the only thing (minor issue) that I don’t like. The graphics on the chips are sharp and are a nice touch. Perfect for a home game.
Overall I think this is a great product for the price and am very satisfied.
The item I ordered was the 1000 piece set with case, two packs of cards, 5 dice, & blind markers. I ordered this item for $64.99 and the shipping turned out to be $54.69 (it was shipped to an APO) for a total of $119.68. This turned out to be a pretty good deal for me. I’m happy with my purchase, but check your shipping charges before you confirm your purchase!
That being said, it was shipped in 2 shipments and I got the second (I know because it said “2 of 2″ on it) within a week. The first shipment I never received, but waited for a month before I alerted the shipper (delays are normal to APO addresses). They sent a replacement shipment that day, received it within a week, and I still have never received the first shipment.
In the first shipment was the case. It isn’t high quality, but it does the trick. The chips are heavy (the package with the chips said 27lbs.) and I would feel confident carrying the chips in the case because of its three latches. Be careful laying the case down with the chips in it because your knuckles could get caught between the ground or table surface, handle, and case.
The chips themselves are pretty high quality and look beautiful. They look exactly as pictured with Casino/Las Vegas/$amount/Las Vegas, Nevada on one side and the number and a 5 card poker hand depending on the chip designation that you’re looking at. They are fairly heavy and have some kind of metal insert, which I could only tell by my magnet/bottle-opener picking them up quite easily. The metal gives them a nice weight and feel in your hand, especially a large stack of them.
I only had 2 chips with obvious defects (one missing a side and another not aligned right) out of 1000, which is great. Many of them, however, have a little nub that sticks out of the middle of the chip. This makes them stack poorly and fall if you stack them too high. That’s not really an issue in my experience. With the variety of chip denominations, you can structure the game so you never have too many of one denomination.
Speaking of denominations, I would rather have had NO $1 chips and use those 200 chips for more $50 & $100 chips, and even a few $500 chips. Plus, there’s no $10 chips so you have to use 5 $5 chips to make a $25, which forces you to make change later in the game (not unusual) due to all the $5 chips floating around after a couple of players are eliminated. Of course, due to the quantity of chips, you can easily make change, and even run two or probably 3 tables without a problem if you want to have a small Texas Hold `em tourney in your home, given you’ve got 3 tables you can use.
All in all, I’m satisfied with my purchase. If I were to do it over again, I’d probably look elsewhere and buy multiple stacks of 25 chips in the denominations that I want and get exactly what I want for about the same money.
Excellent chip set. The chips handle, weight and sound like real casino chips. They were well packed, no damaged pieces. Seller did not include the poker accessories, emailed seller and a couple of days later, received the accessories.
I’ve seen the more expensive poker organizers and this one works just as well. Economical, keeps track of rounds, antes and easy to read.
